Two legs under one roof: leafy — houseplants picked for the kind of light real rooms actually get — and edible — windowsill herbs, balcony veg, container crops and small-plot growing that earn their pot. One byline, one point of view, no glossy showroom shots.

It's written for small-space growers everywhere — a courtyard, a balcony, a window box, a patio, a single sunny sill, or a small cottage plot you're trying to make work. Most plant advice quietly assumes a south-facing conservatory and a tap outside the back door. This one doesn't.
