Who we are

Potted Club ("we", "us", "our") is a small-space gardening website and newsletter. Potted Club is not currently incorporated as a company; it is operated independently by its founder, who acts as the data controller responsible for your personal information under UK data protection law. What information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum we need.

• Your email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter. If you choose to give it, we may also collect your first name.
• Technical and usage information, collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your browser type, device, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and the pages you visit. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

• Legitimate interests, for understanding site usage and keeping the site secure, where we've judged that this doesn't override your rights.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Potted Club, and only as far as they need it. These include:

• Beehiiv, which powers our newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address is stored and processed by Beehiiv on our behalf. Beehiiv is based in the United States, so this involves a transfer of your data outside the UK, made under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
• Lovable and Cloudflare, which host the site and serve its content and images.

Each of these acts as a data processor under our instructions. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Cookies
